Resumen:
The quinoxaline derivatives are a class of compounds that showvery interesting biological properties (antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer, antifungal, antihelmintic, and insecticidal). The oxidationof both nitrogens of this heterocyclic system, needed forobtaining quinoxaline 1,4-di-N-oxide derivatives, greatly increasesthe number of biological properties [1]. In fact, recent studieshave demonstrated that quinoxaline 1,4-di-N-oxides areendowed with antimycobacterial, antiprotozoal, and anticandidaactivities as well as mutagenic properties, depending on specificchemical features [1].
