Resumen:
The infrared (IR) and Raman spectra of YBa3B9O18 were recorded and interpreted on the basis of the D3h local symmetry of the six membered planar B3O9 rings present in its structure. For comparative purposes also the IR spectra of NdBa3B9O18, GdBa3B9O18 and YbBa3B9O18 were recorded and analyzed.
