Resumen:
Interaction between norharmane and three different 2 0-deoxynucleotides (dNMP) (2 0-deoxyguanosine5 0-monophosphate (dGMP), 2 0-deoxyadenosine 5 0-monophosphate (dAMP) and 2 0-deoxycytidine5 0-monophosphate (dCMP)), in aqueous solution, was studied in the ground state by means of UV-visand 1H-NMR spectroscopy and in the first electronic excited state using steady-state and time-resolvedfluorescence spectroscopy. In all cases, the norharmane?dNMP interaction dependence on the pH wasexamined. Possible mechanisms for the interaction of both ground and electronic excited states ofnor harmane wi th nu cleotid e s a re di scu ssed. Spec troscopic, mo lecular mo deling and c hemomet ric analysiswere p e rformed to f urther ch aracterize the ch emical st ruct ure of the complexes formed and to g et additionalinf ormati on concern in g t he in teract ion betw een dNMPs a nd nor harmane.
