Resumen:
The lack of effective therapies for some types of cancer, the development of drug resistance and the severe side-effects of the chemotherapeutic agents reduce the clinical efficacy of a large variety of anticancer agents. Thus, there is always a constant need to develop alternative or synergistic anticancer drugs. Previously, we demonstrated the antitumoral activity and apoptotic effect of two propargylamines, MMA06 (06) and MMA4210f3 (4210) in MDA-MB-231 cells. Our aim was to analyse their mechanism of action and evaluate their combined action with Mafosfamide (MAF). The effect of 06 and 4210 (5-100 μM) on colony formation was analyzed using MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells.
