Resumen:
The aim of this work is the functionalization of filmsbased in polyurethanes and polycaprolactone (PU-PCL)with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) or silver nanoparticles(AgNPs).The PU-PCL films can be prepared from reactantsobtained from renewable resources, giving a greenalternative for the development of polymericmaterials. They are used primarily as coating materialsor adhesives for various substrates.AuNPs with an average diameter close to 5 nm couldbe uniformly dispersed in the PU-PCL, these AuNPsshowed a significant photothermal effect even at verylow concentrations when irradiated with a 532 nmlaser at an irradiance close to 2 W/cm2.On the other hand, AgNPs synthesized employingglycerol as both solvent and reducing agent with adiameter close to 23 nm were introduced in the PU-PCLfilm. This kind of NPs has very interesting antibacterialproperties.
