Resumen:
La and Pr modified ceria nanocubes (NC) exhibited excellent antioxidant properties and oxidase mimetic activities, respectively.I-II In this work, 10%La-CeO2 and 10%Pr-CeO2 NCs have been employed as supports to synthesize Au catalysts. A Au/CeO2NC catalyst has been used as a reference sample.III The nominal Au loadings were 1.5wt.%. CO adsorption and transient experiment of change of a flow of CO/He to O2/He over the Au catalysts have been studied using an Operando DRIFT cell in order to correlate with their catalytic activity and characterization data. The lowest Au loading was obtained over La-CeO2 and the highest Au loading was obtained over pure CeO2 (Table 1). The average metal particle sizes and the metal dispersions have been shown in Table 1. The order of CO conversion at 25 oC over these three catalysts is 0.8%Au/CeO2 > 0.7%Au/Pr-CeO2 > 0.4%Au/La-CeO2. Taking account of the metal dispersion, the turnover frequency (TOF) of the 0.8%Au/CeO2 catalyst is slightly higher than that of other two catalysts.
