Resumen:
This work experimentally and theoretically investigates the 2-steps synthesis of linear Segmented Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (STPUs). The first part of this work describes the syntheses of 5 STPUs via the 2-steps process. The experiments involved estimation of the evolving MWDs by SEC, and the monitoring of global concentrations by FTIR and 1H-NMR. The second part presents a new mathematical model that predicts the detailed MWD of the evolving reaction mixture. The model predictions are in reasonable agreement with the experimental measurements.
