Resumen:
Arsenic pollution is a worldwide problem being one of themost important environmental issues in last years. A processwhich involves oxidation and adsorption for arsenic removalfrom water employing granular titanium dioxide and UVradiation is presented in this work. The aim of this research is to evaluate and study theeffectiveness of a commercial granular titanium dioxide(TiO2) in combination with UV radiation for arsenic removalfrom water. Different As(III)/As(V) ratios were tested. Also, experiences were performed by varying the catalystconcentration. The commercial TiO2 employed has shown goodphotocatalytic activity. High As (III) conversions and Asremoval efficiencies were obtained.
