Resumen:
This paper presents a new methodology for tuning industrial LP-DMC controllers. The proposed method considers both the parameters selection of the LP Problem - which decides the optimal economic operation - and the tuning of the DMC block ? which is related to the transient performance achieved by whole structure. A step by step procedure to allow the advanced controller to find a feasible solution which improves economic operation and desired dynamic behavior is given. A case study taken from a real natural gas processing unit is presented to illustrate the advantages of the proposed approach.
