Resumen:
Catalysis by supported gold nano-particles (Au-NPs) focused on water-gas shift (WGS) and preferential oxidation of CO (PROX) to generate clean hydrogen for using in fuel cells has received much attention in recent years. The influences of pretreatment conditions on the catalytic activity of these materials are key issues still open to discussion.The studies aimed at optimising the activation protocols for ceria supported Au systems are however rather scarce.4 In this work, the influence of both oxidizing (523 K) and reducing (673 K) on the activity of a Au/Ce0.62Zr0.38O2 (Au/CZ) sample for CO oxidation is investigated.
