Kinetics of Arsenic (III) Oxidation Employing the UV/H2O2 Process

This work reports the degradation of a mixture of herbicides in water using the UVC/H2O2 process. The herbicides are glyphosate and 2,4-D. Due to its simplicity, the combination of hydrogen peroxide and UVC radiation may be a convenient technology to explore, particularly for some applications that do not involve large scale operations, such as equipment rinsates and waters from washing herbicide containers. In this work the effects of hydrogen peroxide concentration and solution pH were studied.
