Resumen:
A new method is proposed for estimating and correcting the instrumental broadening (IB) of the particle size distribution (PSD) of polymeric latexes obtained by capillary hydrodynamic fractionation (CHDF). The method involves three main steps: i) the estimation of the IB of the capillary tube by measuring a set of latex standards, ii) the estimation of the corrected fractogram by solving a linear inverse problem, and iii) the estimation of the PSD from the corrected fractogram. The estimation strategy is evaluated through experimental examples. The results show that the proposed method is adequate for correcting the IB in CHDF.
