Resumen:
Mono and bimetallic W and Pd low metal loaded catalysts (2.4 wt % W and 0.4 wt % Pd) were prepared and characterized by XPS, TPR and hydrogen chemisorption. The effect of the reduction temperature on the activity and selectivity during the semi-hydrogenation of 1-heptyne was evaluated under mild conditions. The addition of Pd to W/g-Al2O3 catalyst thoroughly improved the total conversion and the selectivity to the desired product. Bimetallic catalyst proved to be more active than Lindlar catalyst. The bimetallic with the highest Pd electro-deficient species, WPd_393, was the most active system with hight selectivity (³90%). The monometallic PdAl with Pd0, presented high selctivity (@ 98%) but was the less active system. The highest activity and selectivity of the bimetallics W-Pd catalysts could be enhanced by metals d electrons interaction.
