Resumen:
NiCeZr alumina-supported catalysts were prepared as powder and structured forms. They were characterized and tested in the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane. The addition of Ce to the Ni-based formulation increases the population of more reducible nickel species that benefits ethane conversion whereas the incorporation of Zr enhances ethylene selectivity through the generation of high amount of less reducible nickel species. The most efficient powder formulation in terms of ethylene production was effectively reproduced under a novel structured form.
