Resumen:
This work described recent examples of bifunctional and dual site pathways with emphasis on reactions requiring acidic, metallic, or basic sites for one or more of the required catalytic steps. The chosen examples are studies performed for our research group and cover a wide range of catalytic reactions and materials in order to illustrate the ubiquitous requirements for multiple interactions between molecules and surface in the formation and conversion of reaction intermediates.
