Resumen:
[RhCl(TDA)3] and  [PdCl2(TDA)2] (TDA = tridecylamine), synthesized and supported on g-alumina, were tested as catalysts in the 1-heptyne semi-hydrogenation under mild conditions of pressure and temperature. The Lindlar catalyst was used as a reference. XPS, FTIR and Atomic Absorption results showed that the active catalytic species in each case is the complex itself. These techniques also showed the existence of Rh(I) with a C2v simmetry and  Pd(II) with D2h simmetry. The best activity and selectivity values were obtained with [RhCl(TDA)3]/Al2O3, an heterogeneous catalyst with an electron-rich transition metal and an electron-donating ligand (TDA).
