Resumen:
Nickel catalysts 1% w were prepared with pure γ-alumina and by modifying the support with 5 and 10% of MgO, the method of synthesis uses was a successively incipient wetness impregnation technique. The effect of reaction temperature was studied for the selective hydrogenation of hexyne-3 under constant conditions of PH2 = 1.5 bar, stirring rate: 800 rpm, particle size: 60-100 mesh, on the activity and selectivity of the tested catalysts. The characterization of catalysts by ICP, XPS, RTP and hydrogen chemisorption techniques confirmed the presence of NiO species with strong interaction with the support. At high temperatures (323 K) total conversion profiles were not significantly different. Selectivity stereoisomer (Z) -3-hexene was moderate (~ 70%) to 303K. The catalyst Ni / A-5Mg presented the highest values of total conversion of 3-hexyne (100%) being most marked difference to 303 K, this could be explained by an electronic effect of Mg on Ni that promotes greater availability of nickel electrons.
