Resumen:
Thin mordenite films are grown by secondary hydrothermal synthesis on the surface of microchannels and micrometric meshes of copper alloy. The 5-micron growths cover densely and homogeneously all microstructures surface and also have high adherence. They exhibit a marked crystallographic c-orientation perpendicular to the substrate, and the growth on the mesh has an extremely high geometric surface area. The mordenite Si/Al ratio is low allowing high exchange capacity. All these characteristics were characterized by XRD, SEM and EPMA. These mordenite-based copper microstructures offer a great potential as microreactors for highly thermal reactions conducted at low temperatures.
