Resumen:
Au(2 wt.%)/Al2O3 was much more active and stable than Pt(2 wt.%)/Al2O3 and Pt(2wt. %)/SiO2 in the selective liquid-phase oxidation of lactose to lactobionic acid. A negative reaction order respect to lactose was estimated, indicating strong interaction between reactant and the surface of a highly dispersed metal Au phase.
