Resumen:
The results suggestthat the matrix in FCC catalysts may play a key role in the conversion ofbio-oils into hydrocarbons. The addition of Y zeolite to form compoundcatalysts with silica-alumina matrices improves bio-oil deoxygenation andreduces coke yield significantly. Another consequence was that the selectivityto olefins decreased and the selectivity to aromatics increased for hydrocarbonsin the gasoline boiling range. The matrices favor primary deoxygenation andcracking reactions on the bio-oil components, while the zeolite promotes the conversionof intermediate olefinic products into aromatics. The composition of thematrices does not show a significant influence on the selectivity to the liquidproducts
