Resumen:
Bimetallic catalysts such as Pt-Re-M (M=Ge, Sn, Ir)/Al2O2 have been traditionally used in naphtha reforming to increase the octane gasoline as well as to produce high value chemicals (benzene, toluene, xylenes). To improve their performance, these solids must be sulfided to reduce their hydrogenolysis activity. In recent times, the catalysts were replaced by the trimetallic ones, which have shown better performance [1]. However, the properties of these materials are scarcely known. In order to get more efficient catalysts, the influence of sulfidation on the performance of Pt-Re-Sn/Al2O3 catalysts in the n-octane reforming was studied in this work. The samples were prepared by coimpregnation and  successive impregnation techniques to investigate if the preparation method of the catalyst affects the action of sulfidation.
