Resumen:
The aromatic compounds contribute for the increasing of octane number of the gasoline and, consequently, the antidetonate action. In this manner, the process of reforming objective transforms n-paraffns and ciclo-hexanes, the most important components of the gasoline, in these aromatic compounds, through the arrangement of their molecular structures. In this work, some bifunctional catalysts supported in the Y zeolite were prepared. It was prepared samples with 0.3, 0.5, 1.0and 2.0% contents of platinum, which tested in the reforming of n-octane (450oC, 1 atm, WSHV = 3,4 h-1, H2/nC8 = 7,3). The catalysts were obtained by competitive ionic exchange using aqueous solution of platinum complex [Pt(NH3)4]Cl2. The samples were characterized by XRD, dehydrogenation of the ciclo-hexane and TPR, observing that the reduction of the species of platinum begins in 230oC and have a maximum of consume of hydrogen in 580oC. The reaction of reforming produced predominantly aromatic compounds.
