Resumen:
In this work the toluene and butane adsorption at low temperature and the interaction with the NO molecule for the SCR-NOx were studied. Ag exchanged on NaMordenite catalysts were prepared with different content of silver.By TPR, a small fraction (20%) of Ag2O species and Ag+ ions at exchanged positions within NaMOR were observed. The FTIR studies showed that the hydrocarbons were adsorbed preferentially on Ag+ sites and reacted with the NO flow producing intermediates compounds of the SCR-NOx, such as surface cyanide, isocyanide and isocyanate species adsorbed on Ag+ ions. Thus, the presence of Ag+ ions on the prepared samples represent the sites where the hydrocarbons is adsorbed and allow to hold them at 400°C. Instead, the presence of Ag2O have a double function because the oxidation of hydrocarbon was produced, but at the same time, interact with NO molecules producing NO2 species as a result of Ag2O reduction.
