Resumen:
Rhodium catalysts were active for the dry reforming of methane reaction in membrane reactors. Furthermore, when the La2O3-SiO2 support is used the Rh formulations are catalytically stable and do not produce carbonaceous residues. In this work, we report the results obtained with a novel catalyst, Rh/CaO-SiO2. Both the fresh and used catalysts were characterized by DRX, FTIR, Laser Raman spectroscopy and XPS.  The effect of the operation variables upon the performance of the membrane reactor for hydrogen production was also studied.
