Resumen:
Chemical absorption-based processes are the most advanced technologies to reduce anthropogenic greenhouse gases emissions from the energy and industrial sector. Membrane-based systems are considered promising and an alternative option for CO2 capture due to the simple operating mode. In this work both options are compared in terms of the total specific cost (TSC) for a wide range of feed CO2 compositions (XF,CO2) which are representative of different CO2 emissions sources.
