Abstract
This contribution focuses on the development of a dynamic conceptual model for batch reactive distillations. Assuming a rectifier with an infinite number of stages, pinch analysis is applied to assess the performance of the combined process. Two highly non-ideal quaternary mixtures, each one suffering an esterification reaction, are taken as example cases.
