Resumen:
Multiplexing operations in optical encryption systems are an option to handle multiple data. Besides offering a more resistant alternative to external attacks, multiplexing is suitable for multi-user operations. We propose and experimentally demonstrate a technique to improve the capacities of an encryption process based on double random phase encoding in a joint transform correlator (JTC). In the encryption process, the image to be encrypted is divided into several sections. Then, each section is encrypted separately using the same encryption key. The encryption is performed using an optical JTC processor with a digital holography technique. The encrypted sections are digitally processed and multiplexed to obtain a filtered version of the multiplexed encrypted images. The authorized user can recover the input information using the encryption key and the filtered multiplexed encrypted image. The proposed method allows processing information otherwise not possible by using the same optical setup and encrypting the original image in one-step. We present experimental results to demonstrate the validity of the proposal.
