Resumen:
Xenon is a rare atom in the cosmos. The recent observation of Xe VI-VII in white dwarf RE 0503-289 (Werner et al. 2012) prompted us to revisit and extend the basic knowledge of these spectra. We published our analysis for Xe VI early in 2015, and now we present new experimental lines and theoretical calculations for Xe VII. In this work, we present our experimental data for the region between 23 and 700 nm obtained through a capillary discharge light source developed at the CIOp, from which we classified a number of lines for the first time.We used Hartree-Fock wave functions to construct our eigenstates in a multiconfigurational approach, using Cowan?s Atomic package. The theoretical energy parameters were adjusted to fit the experimental energy levels using Cowan's least squares program. The eigenvector composition obtained by this method was used to calculate the oscillator strengths for the electric dipole transitions. We used 25 even parity and 21 odd parity configurations in these calculations.
