Resumen:
The photonic processing of signals is particularly well suited to overcome the limitations of conventional electronics. Among its advantages, it offers broadband signal processing, immunity to electromagnetic interference, and flexible configurability. The applications include ultrafast computing, broadband telecommunications, pulse shaping and signal analysis. A number of works were presented recently to perform all-optically in the time domain integer-order operations, such as differentiation, integration, etc. Fractional operations, on the other hand, play an important role in information processing. The fractional order offers another degree of freedom over which to optimize, which can be used for a better characterization of a signal under test, or as an additional control parameter.
