Resumen:
A method for estimating Raman deformation potential constants (RPD) of A1(TO)i phonons is presented in this work and making several asumptions is used for LiNbO3:MgO:Nd3 as an example. In this method three diferent experimental/numerical results are asociated using the potential deformation teory to estimate Raman deformation potential constants of A1(TO)i phonons. The experimental/numerical results used are A1(TO) spectral shifts along the path ?ab? in the waveguide zone, ii)A1(TO) Phonon hydrostatic pressure shifts (dw/dp) (experimental) and iii) a strain field of waveguide zone estimated using a Finite Element Model (MEF) (numerical). The FEM geometrical expansion parameters were selected such as FEM results fit previous experimental measurements of A1(TO) phonons hydrostatic spectral shift. For adjusting the mentioned parameters, the experimental measurements of A1(TO) phonons spectral shift in the waveguide zone were used. The resulting strain field was fitted to this data using the potential deformation theory and the method of mean squeare error along a definied path.
