Resumen:
It is presented a novel implementation of a method for characterizing pulses in the hundred ps range. Its practical realization, which is based on a Wigner Distribution Function (WDF) property, consist of passive optical communication devices. Simulations are performed considering realizable models of the elements comprised in the technique implementation and typical pulses found in optical transmission systems. This numerical analysis allows to explore its practical feasibility, its range of operation and the limitations imposed by the mismatch or variation of its elements parameters.
