Resumen:
While computer simulations of physical problems constitute an incredibly versatile set of tools, model implementations have to deal with computing resource finiteness and struggle against finite size effects. In particular, when it comes to simulating an ideal infinite system, finding appropriate border conditions can be challenging. Concerning emerging behaviour on complex systems, unexpected self sustained patterns couldd rise up depending on them. In this work we introduce a generalization of the vicsek model, retaining its orientational dynamics but introducing a way to create a controlled "bath", in an attempt to quantify and limit the loss of isotropy on inherently isotropic models for active matter.
