Resumen:
Recently, it has been shown experimentally by our collaborators that the evacuation of non magnetic grains from a hopper through a narrow door can be speeded up by the presence of magnetic species.In this talk, we systematically analyze the discharge of two dimensional silos with a mixture of magnetic and non-magnetic grains by performing computational simulations. We study the effect of the magnetic moment of the dipoles and the number of magnetic particles in the mixture on the flux of particles.
