Resumen:
Different types of microscopic interactions between particles usually lead to differentuniversality classes associated with the macroscopic properties of the system. Moresurprisingly, even two very similar interaction types may lead to very differentmacroscopic behaviours. In this work we investigate the change in the criticalbehaviour of the Vicsek model when interactions are of voter-type, that is, wheneach particle adopts the moving direction of a randomly chosen neighbour. We study this dynamics in mean-field (all-to-all interactions) and found that, in thethermodynamic limit, voter interactions completely destroy order for any finite noise. Therefore, the order-disorder transition observed at a finite noise in Vicsek-typemodels is shifted to zero noise in voter-type models. Also, by applying standardfinite-size scaling techniques we analyse the type and properties of this transition atzero noise.
