Resumen:
(charla invitada) In this talk, I will start with a short overview on highly frustrated points and their low temperature properties in corner sharing lattices. Then, I will focus on the Heisenberg extended model in the kagomé lattice. I will present results from a recent publication (F. Gómez Albarracin, P. Pujol, PRB 2018) where we study this model with additional interactions and find different interesting features depending on the couplings. In particular, for a broad region in parameter space the system has a spontaneous symmetry breaking with net chirality. Finally, I will close with our ongoing work with D. Rosales and P. Pujol on using these textures as a magnetic background for electrons, and the possible emergent quantum anomalous Hall effect.
