Resumen:
The phenomenon of synchronization between twoor more areas of the brain coupled asymmetricallyis a relevant issue for understanding mechanismsand functions within the cerebral cortex. Anticipatedsynchronization (AS) refers to the situation in whichthe receiver system synchronizes to the futuredynamics of the sender system while the intuitivelyexpected delayed synchronization (DS) representsexactly the opposite case. AS and DS are investigatedin the context of causal information formalism.More specifically, we use a multi-scale symbolicinformation-theory approach for discriminating thetime delay displayed between two areas of the brainwhen they exchange information.
