Resumen:
Dielectric properties estimation in layered lossy media from 10MHz to 1GHz is analyzed using an open ended coaxial probe. We generalize and test a theoretical and empirical exponential approximations for a two, three and four-layer media. A wide frequency spectrum measurement procedure is proposed, providing a fast method to approximate parameters (thickness and dielectric properties) of each layer. We propose Linear System Identification methods using time-domain measurements to find the corresponding frequency responses. Although these approaches and techniques have been already individually considered, here we propose to use altogether, definig a novel methodology to process time domain reflectometry data with robustness and a well numerical behaviour. Simulations and experimental results in phantom and a biological tissue are provided.
