Resumen:
Thanksto the new generation of digital receivers available at the IAR,developed by the CASPER collaboration (Collaborationfor Astronomy Signal Processing and Electronics Research), it ispossible to elaborate and implementnew techniques for digital signal processing, increasing theobservational capabilities and flexibility of theradio telescopes of the IAR.Thepresent work describes a proposal for the creation of a newhigh-bandwidth receiver, based on the ROACH(Reconfigurable Open Architecture Computing Hardware) board for thedetection and study of the radio transientsknown as Fast Radio Bursts (FRB). These are extremely rapid ( ∼1ms) flares that occur at cm- 1ms) flares that occur at cm-wavelengthsof unknown origin. FRBs can be identified because they shift infrequency due to the refractive effectsof the interstellar medium.Herewe describe the hardware that will be used, the software tool-flowalready provided by CASPER, as well as thetools developed for the acquisition and processing of the signals.p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; line-height: 115% }
