Resumen:
In this presentation we briefly described a synthesis interferometer as a new radioastronomical facility operating in thefrequency range from 800 MHz up to 7000 MHz. The scientific goals to be achieved with the construction of such an instrument and the technical characteristics needed to meet the scientific objectives are enumerated.
