Resumen:
Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) program although was successfully applied for thelast 40 years by UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO now changed due to currentchallenges and this active program requires new and innovative solutions. Amongneglected diseases, one of important issue in the world actually is infection throughAedes aegypti. Surveillance and control must be considered due to a great risk ofinfection with dengue, chikungunya and Zika viruses. Although several vaccinecandidates are in advanced stages of development no licensed dengue vaccine is yetavailable, then, new insides in term of development of pharmaceutical that scape fromresistance is of paramount importance. It is believed, in general, that the mostinnovative strategy at this time should be the use of nanobiotechnology in the search ofnew uses for old pharmaceuticals or new development of innovative and intelligentnanomedicines for neglected diseases. In this direction we focused this overview ondiagnostic assays as nanobiosensors, and nanomaterials against viruses, andnanoinsecticides on Aedes aegyptis control.
