Resumen:
Nanocomposites are reinforced materials with a low concentration of nanometric fillers. Besides, the inclusion of silver nanoparticles (AgNP) confers antimicrobial activity to the material. AgNP synthesis by chemical methods in solution allows a good control of the particle size distribution, the average size and particle shape. In this work, active starch based films with AgNP were developed and their physicochemical, barrier and mechanical properties were evaluated.
