Resumen:
The structure of the new tetrazole-saccharinate, 1-TE-BZT was investigated by combining matrix isolation FTIR and theoretical calculations. The photochemistry of 1‑TE‑BZT in solid argon was also addressed. Upon UV irradiation, the compound was found to decompose through 3 different photodecomposition pathways Involving cleavage of the tetrazole ring and unprecedented cleavage of the saccharyl heterocycle.
