Resumen:
Colloidal processing of commercial 8 mol% Y2O3 doped cubic zirconia and a mixture of 92 mol% monoclinic zirconia and 8 mol% yttria was conducted. Beads milling with the grinding media of zirconia balls with an average diameter size of 50 microns was used for dispersion. The slip casting process of the slurry lead to a dense green compact that can be reacted and sintered by pressureless and spark plasma sintering (SPS) giving a final result of full dense cubic zirconia ceramics sintered at low temperature with a final grain size in the nanoscale for the case of SPS and small grain for pressureless sintering.
