Resumen:
It is known that cold exposure induce the generation of beige adipocytes in white adipose tissue (AT) depots. Previously, we have described that the addition of androgens (A) on a mature beige adipocyte culture inhibits its thermogenic capacity. Now, we aim to study if in vivo absence of A affects the in vitro beige adipocyte generation and browning potential of white AT after cold stimulation. For this, we use the following groups of S-D male rats: controls (CTR), orchidectomized bilaterally at 27 days of age (ODX) and pair fed controls (CTR-PF, same ODX group caloric intake). In the first assay, adipocyte precursor cells (APCs) were isolated from inguinal AT (IAT) and retroperitoneal AT (RPAT) from different groups and were cultured with a pro-beige cocktail.
