Resumen:
The isotope composition of precipitation is a characteristic of each region. It is mainlydetermined by meteorological local parameters like temperature, relative humidity andamount. Precipitation represents one of the most important factors of groundwater recharge, therefore, the knowledge and characterization of the isotope content is relevant when a hydrological research is initiated. As a result, systematic measurement of isotope content of precipitation in long term records became a useful tool. The measurement and record of the isotope content of the precipitation of Argentina are made by the stations of the National Network of Collectors. This work presents the results obtained at Salta and Tucumán stations from 1981-1987/1998-2004 and 2001-2008 respectively. These stations are located in Salta and Tucumán cities. The local meteoric water lines match δ2H=(8,25±0,18)δ18O+(15,08±0,96)‰ for the first station and δ2H=(8,07±0,17)δ18O+(17,11±0,81)‰ for the second one. High deuterium excesses in rainfall water seem to be related to the Low Level Jet occurrence. These data can be used like input function to local hydrologic systems
