Resumen:
The main objective of this paper, is to present a circulation model of the periglacial hydrogeologic system in the Vallecitos river basin, and it is based in data acquired by the moment in the study area, collected throughout continuous seasonal monitoring of temperature, electrical conductivity, chemical and isotopic composition. This allowed us to understand the system variations as a whole and in a local way. The study area is located between 69º19´ to 69º26´ W and 32º 55´ to 32º 59´ S, in the Cordón del Plata region, Frontal Andean Ranges, Mendoza, Argentina. The Cordón del Plata reaches heights of 6000 m.asl Vallecitos River basin , a tributary of the White River, is located at altitudes ranging from 2,200 m.asl at its lowest point to 5,500 m asl on the summit of Cerro Vallecitos. Different mechanisms of water circulation have been observed since water precipitates in the recharge zone and surface courses, usually as snow, both in areas of high peaks above 5,000 meters high, and landforms characteristics of periglacial environments that may or may not infiltrate and travel from kilometers to meters below the quaternary coverage and acquire characteristics of each sub-basin, to finally reappear in surface through springs
