Resumen:
The low valley of the Negro river is a zone of more than 80000ha located on the south margin of the river. The area of agricultural exploitation zone is extensive and during production activities are added diverse chemical compounds. The river receives the surpluses of irrigation of the productive zone across several channels and also, the urban effluents. In this way, adverse impacts of water quality are expected from human activities. In this frame a research project was developed, which major aim is to study the interaction between the water of the river and the groundwater of the low valley of the Negro River as well as the analysis of hydro geochemical and isotopic aspects, with emphasis in the water quality of the regional aquifers and the water river. In this work, we present the first chemical and isotopic results.
