Resumen:
The objectives of the present study were to describethe influence of the tidal cycle on mesozooplanktonvariability and to compare the mesozooplanktondistribution of two zones in the main channel of theestuary: its northern margin and the deeper centralzone. This study represents a contribution to theknowledge of the mesozooplankton dynamics overtidal time scales. The results highlight the role of tidesas forcing agents on the mesozooplankton communitystructure and emphasize the importance of thebiological-physical interactions on a short-term timescale in coastal systems.
