Resumen:
The phylogenetic analysis of cheilanthoids ferns based on molecular characters led to a new generic circumscription within the neotropical Adiantopsis ? Doryopteris clade. . In the present study we discuss the phylogenetic position of three Cheilanthes species previously known as ?Cheilanthes geraniifolia group? included into the Adiantopsis ? Doryopteris clade, and assign them to a new genus.Their recognition is based on the high support of the group in the molecular phylogeny, and the morphological features and geographic area shared.
