Resumen:
A new species of Cheilanthes is described, presenting a complete morphological description, illustrations and comments on the closest species. This species is distinct by its 2-3-pinnate leaves, and by the ultimate segments ovate to suborbicular. We also present some new records from Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil, corresponding to the dry areas of Chaco and Pantanal
